Configuring a Label Question

A Label question allows administrators to display informational text within a form without collecting a response from users.

Labels are commonly used to provide instructions, section introductions, reminders, or additional context to help users complete a form successfully.

Adding a Label Question

  1. Navigate to the desired section of your form.

  2. Select Add Question.

  3. Select Label from the Question Type dropdown.

  4. Configure the available settings.

  5. Select Save.

Configuration Options

Question Text

Unlike other question types, a Label does not collect a response. Instead, it displays information directly within the form.

Example:

  • All responses must be submitted before the application deadline.

  • The following section will ask questions about your educational background.

Common Uses:

  • Instructions

  • Section introductions

  • Important reminders

  • Eligibility information

  • Submission requirements

Help Hover Text

Example 3: Eligibility Notice

Best Practices

  • Use Labels to break large forms into manageable sections.

  • Keep instructional text concise and easy to read.

  • Use Labels to highlight important requirements or deadlines.

  • Avoid placing lengthy instructions directly in Question Text when a Label can be used instead.

  • Consider adding Labels before complex sections to provide additional guidance.

  • Use Labels consistently throughout the form to improve the user experience.

Important Note

Labels are informational only and do not collect or store user responses. If you need users to enter information, select an appropriate question type such as Single-Line Text, Multi-Line Text, or Multiple Choice instead.
