Helping Someone Find a Match

Learn how to support your participants in finding matches.

Method 1: Impersonate Search

  1. From your Mentorship Dashboard, navigate to the Signups tab.
  2. Locate the user you want to impersonate and click the down arrow next to their name.
  3. Select Impersonate Search.
  4. View the potential matches this user would see, along with their match criteria.
  5. Choose to either create an engagement or suggest matches for the user to reach out to.

Method 2: From the Matching Center

If you already know which mentor or mentee you want to help, you can go straight to their ranked list of candidates without impersonating them first.

  1. Go to Admin Tools > Matching Dashboard.
  2. Use the Mentee / Mentor tabs and the Unmatched / Open Capacity / At Capacity filters to find the person you're helping.
  3. Click Create Match on their card to see a ranked list of relevant candidates for them, sorted by match percentage.
  4. Select a candidate and click Create Match to pair them right away.

This is a quicker path when you just need to create the match yourself. If you'd rather see things from the participant's point of view first, or want to suggest matches for them to reach out to on their own, use Impersonate Search instead.
