Reviewing and Approving Suggested Matches

RQ can automatically suggest mentor/mentee pairings based on how your program is configured. Instead of creating matches one at a time, you can review all suggested pairs in once place and approve several at once.

Where to find it

  1. Go to Admin Tools > Matching Dashboard.
  2. Click Suggested Matches in the top-right corner of the dashboard.

    Reviewing suggested matches

The Suggested Matches list shows each proposed pairing side by side - mentor on one side, mentee on the other - along with a match score (for example, 92% Matched). For more on how this score is calculated, see Understanding Your Match Score.

For each pair in the list, you can:

    • View signup information: click the eye icon to see that person's full sign up answers.
    • Open the Score Breakdown: click into a pair to see how its match score was calculated. This panel has its own Create Match button, so you can approve the pair from right there without going back to the list.
    • Approve: click the green checkmark to approve that pair individually.
    • Select multiple: check the box next to a pair to include it in a bulk approval (see below).

    Approving multiple matches at once

    1. Check the box next to each pair you want to approve. You can select as many as you like.
    2. An Approve Selected bar appears above the list.
    3. Click Approve Selected to approve all checked pairs at once.

Approved pairs are created as active matches right away and drop off the Suggested Matches list.

When there's nothing left to review

Once every mentor or mentee has been matched, the Suggested Matches list will show:

"No matching suggestions for unmatched mentors — all have been paired."

The main Matching Dashboard shows a similar message once all pairing is complete.

    Checking past matches

To see a record of matches made in the Matching Center, click History in the toolbar at the top of the Matching Center.
